Decking!

Hi,
We have recently had a summerhouse built that has a decked veranda and would like to extend the decking around the summerhouse. The decking is 120mm x 28mm profile which seems a fairly standard size, however I am struggling to find a UK supplier of a similar (doesn't have to exact) style. Anyone got any suggestions? We need approx 140 running metres.
Thanks in advance!

Travis Perkins do a similar pattern/style in their timber decking and I'm sure I've seen it somewhere else.  I'll post again if I remember where I saw it.

That looks very similar to some that I used that I bought from B&Q  couple of years ago.

Looks like Homebase decking to me.
  • No... it's planed on the other side.

    You're right! Thank you...but it's £80 for a pack of 4 3.0m decking boards!  :#
It would cost about a grand to do the space!

Need to get it sub £500

Are you sure that what you've got is the the hardwood variety as in your picture. I'd take a drive out to your nearest store because they have the much cheaper, softwood variety in store in the same design, at least they did last year when I bought a load to build a wheelchair ramp for my dad.

The advice on here is usually to avoid decking at all costs!  It's so last decade  :*
  • My father has the same decking.

He has asked me to replace it all with new decking. Oh the joy but he insists the decking should be smooth side up? Is that right? We don't have decking at home but I have only seen decking that have the groves visible side up. I even checked this sites blog...

Restorate in the news / blog section

Apparently everyone in the UK is doing it wrong but at least they did me a deal on the stain, which is quite a nice colour according to my father.

    Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Stain

Any thoughts on this would be great, so I can either prove my father wrong or admit defeat.
