Wage cut during coronavirus without being told

Hi there, my partner received her wage slip this month to see a deduction of just over £70. She work in a Spar store and the management decided she was to essential to furlough and kept her working. The shop reduced its hours and so my partner worked a few hours less per week but was told be her manager that her wage would not be effected. What are her rights as she was never informed that her wage would be cut?
Thanks in advance for any help

Is she contracted for a specific number of hours each week?
Would any of the hours she's not been paid be overtime?
Has she asked her manager for an explanation of the reduction?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

If it was me and my manager decided to cut my hours I would have been checking there and then if pay was staying the same or not. Especially in a job that is usually hourly paid anyway.

If your partner is paid on an hourly basis there's been no cut. The shop isn't going to pay employees for hours that there's been no work available.

If she was on a contract for x amount of hours, she should be paid the same as if she had worked those hours as the reduction in working hours is no fault of her own. However those hours can be made up from accured holiday

If she is paid via clocking in and out - ie paid only for hours worked, then she will be looking at a reduction
