disability

i suffer from ms and no longer work i currently recieve pip standard daily living enhanced mobility and esa contriution based in the support group i live alone and pay private rent and no one recives carers allowance yet they still say the dwp that i am not entitled to any other benefit HELP.

    The critical question is, do you have savings or capital assetts? If you have less than £16,000 then, on the basis of what you have said, you should be eligible to have your ESA reviewed for eligibility for income based ESA. If you are eligible for this you would be entitled to the Severe Disability Premium in the ESA and this would allow you to claim Housing Benefit.

    However savings over £16,000 would exclude you from income based ESA and Housing Benefit.

  • and also no one ever assesed me or contacted doctor or neurologist i use 2 elbow crutches mobility scooter and various other aids

    You clearly have been assessed otherwise you would not be in the Support Group - perhaps because of what you submitted they were able to do it without a face to face assessment.
    Can you confirm how much ESA you get? How long have you been getting it?
    We need to be clear whether this is indeed contribution based ESA (of the old type) or ‘new style’ ESA.
