Got fined for no insurance can I appeal?

Insurance company didn't renew insurance and gave no reason. I thought it was auto renewed hence got stopped and fined. Can I appeal?

You can appeal what you like but the argument will be that you’re responsible for your insurance and making sue it’s in place

    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y

Only if the insurer said they were going to automatically renew it in their renewal letter would you have a case.   If they said it would not auto-renew then there is nothing to appeal.

    Yes you can!

    But you will lose.

Sorry. But  unfortunately it is your responsibility to ensure you have sufficient insurance / cover in place.
