Can I insure 2 cars with 2 separate insurance companies both under my name?

Hi there,
I currently have 2 cars insured with Admiral Multi-Car. Both cars are mine, I am the registered keeper and only driver.
However, it would seem that I can save £250/yr by insuring them separately (I've ran quotes for both cars through some comparison sites).
Is there any reason I cannot do this? Legally or otherwise?
Thanks!

Nothing stopping you. You can only use the current no claims on one I would have thought however, maybe that alters the price?

Thanks for the info.Thats the thing, I checked my admiral policy documentation online and one car is showing 10 years no-claims and another is showing 9 years no-claims. Not sure whether Admiral send me documentation separate for each car that I can use separately for each new policy with the other companies.0

Of course it is up to the other company to accept it as they do not have to (all the no claims is just co-operational).0

No reason why you can't do it, though as with any premium haggling time, you should see if Admiral want to beat the other quotes you're getting.0
