My feline brought home a baby grass snake yesterday.  Has the hot weather confused the breeding cycle?

Have seen a couple about, but didn't think it was early.
Life isn't about the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away. Like choking....

The 'wildlife trusts' say that grass snake eggs usually hatch in autumn?

    It's not difficult!

Possibly - I'm snake-phobic so don't spend much time thinking about them!

Possibly - I see from the Wildlife Trust link that they are long lived so perhaps the "baby" I saw (about 30cm) was from last Autumn. It did keep my cat occupied for a while. She's not having a good time with a visiting Vixen and cub in the garden as well.

I think I would have a heart attack if I saw that loose!

I have come across a few adders whilst out walking/running and did manage to continue without having a complete breakdown - but it was a close thing!
