I'm coming into this a bit late, but if the question was, as it is shown now, about a 2 mile chaser, then with Frankel being a Flat horse, and Red Rum a 4 mile plus Grand National 3 time winner, the answer is neither of them. It must be Sprinter Sacre. He won 14 races, of which 2 were Champion Chases. In his last campaign in 2016 he won 4 races, 2 Group 2s, followed by 2 Group 1s, including his 2nd Champion Chase. I know there was a better 2 miler back in my day, but the amazing Flyingbolt won the race only once in 1966 as a young 7 year-old, before being crippled with Equine Bruscellosis, which prevented him from challenging Arkle for the title of very best.
