Starling Joint account

My boyfriend and I are thinking of getting a joint bill account and I don't want my past to drag his credit down. Do the Starling joint accounts create a financial link?

I believe any joint account would result in a financial link.

Me and my other half have a joint metro bank cash account and have cards, this account doesn’t appear on either of our credit reports nor does it show a financial link between us. However you cannot set up any direct debits on it.I had a sole starling account for about a year, and in the last few months of having it I added an overdraft facility. The account only appeared on my credit report when the overdraft facility was added.Edit- just seen on Starling banks website an article about credit scores and they say that having a joint account shows a financial link between both parties on credit reports0

The easy answer is to just put the bill account in his name, you can just pay into it your agreed share.
Only works if there is a degree of trust though.0
