As with most things in life it's always possible to pay more for the same thing. The question I think the OP is asking is whether £2k worth of value is being added in the first place.0

The rest is the platform/provider/fund charges. And remember that advisers use the full MIFIDII disclosure. So, that is OCF plus TC & IC. Whilst most DIY investors will ignore the TC & IC, they are still there and should be included in a like for like comparison. The Prufund is not a cheap option. Those capital securities and smoothing come at cost. If those things are not needed then you are paying for something you don't need. The OP seems to suggest a jump up the risk scale. However, the tone of the post regarding the recent values does hint that they may not be happy with higher volatility. That may not be the case but there is enough said to raise further questions on that point.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Thanks for all your comments so far I am going to watch and read your recommendations with a nice cold beer in a bit.
It is comforting to know that the advisor charges are reasonable and whilst the Prufund is losing money I was expecting this within the current climate and I am not disappointed with its value.
Anybody any thoughts on the Avia ISA? I still have this years allowance to use and once I have done my homework I will come back with more questions about my options.
Once again thank you all for your valued input.

Assuming the ongoing adviser charge is the same 0.5%, I guess there's about £20k in the ISA. You haven't told us what it's invested in or how it's performed. Presumably it's invested in whatever the adviser advised, no reason to assume it isn't, and the charges are not massive. But frankly there's not a lot of point having 'thoughts' on it if you don't have thoughts on it yourself. As you suggest, when you've gone away and done your homework and decided how you'd like to be invested, you could come back and ask questions.spencer_cash said:Anybody any thoughts on the Avia ISA? Consider not spamming the name of your favourite unregulated high risk/scam platform in most of your posts?neweste said:. Yes, I understand that cryptocurrencies may seem incomprehensible and complex. But there are investment options suitable even for beginners. Consider the [redacted] platform for this, as well as cryptocurrency staking.3
