Can somebody offer me any advice on First Choice options

We are a group with a booking to travel in August to Bulgaria.
By consensus, we do not want to travel. So the recent offer from First Choice is very welcome.
We have found a replacement holiday next May in Egypt, and are ready to amend.
But my questions are:

We have found a replacement holiday next May in Egypt, and are ready to amend.
But my questions are:
- On the FC website now, the holiday comes with a free child place (same group set up) but when I amend through my booking online, it does not appear - does anybody know if FC will honour their free child place offer for an amendment?
- We booked in 1 group (6 adults and 2 kids) but I see that the Free Child Place offer is one free child per room, not per booking. Does anybody know what the First Choice Policy is? If you attempt to book the group as a new booking, you only get one free space despite us booking 3 rooms
- The 20% credit offer is very generous but we would prefer not to go anyway so are willing to take the amendment offer now. If later in the year it comes to pass that FC would have cancelled the holiday anyway, does anybody know if they'd extend the credit offer to those who had amended pre-emptively?

Hi there, I suppose I am going to spell out the obvious and that is First Choice are the ones you need to be addressing your questions to. If they advertise free child places then that is what you should get and if it is one child per room then you should be looking at potentially 3 free child places? Maybe you need to book individually to get this? Again only t's and c's on their website or customer advice centre will tell you for sure.
Question 3: I would think if you cancel your original holiday and rebook your holiday now then anything connected to the original (Bulgaria, this year) will be voided from the system whether it goes ahead or not.2 -
If your hotel isn't on the free child place list 2021 on their website then you need to pay the extra .
Not all of their hotels offer free placesEx forum ambassador

Thanks - yes I will do this when I call tomorrow but being armed with people's experience is always helpful.Tedber said:Hi there, I suppose I am going to spell out the obvious and that is First Choice are the ones you need to be addressing your questions to. The new one (2021) does offer; but the current one (2020) did not.

"Free child places" are more often than not a marketing tool anyway, yes the kid is free but they will just whack an extra few quid on the adult price instead.0

As it's subsidised by all bookings, it's good for people with kids, less so for those travelling without them.
