Holiday deposit Payment

Hi,
I paid for my holiday deposit using my credit card in August 2019 last year for a holiday in July 2020. After much discussion I have deferred the holiday until next year and the travel company are retaining my deposit. Its a special trip for our 30th  wedding anniversary and its a sizeable sum.
1) If the travel company go bust will I get my deposit back from the credit card company with it being so far back? Ie is there a time limit?
2) To muddy the waters further Creation the company behind the asda credit card is replacing my card as they will no longer be associated with asda from july this year, so new account and card etc.
In these circumstances what happens in the same scenario if the travel company go bust?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
