Virgin Credit card: making payments online

Hi,

Virgin CC haven't sent me a paper statement this month. I've tried calling their credit card helpdesk many times for about a week, but I couldn't get through to an advisor. I therefore opted to register for their online service - which is excellent by the way.

I've just made my monthly payment using my debit card. Does anyone know how many working days it will take to arrive and be credited to my Virgin CC account? Has anyone else paid this way before? My payment isn't due for another 12 days, so I do have time in any case.

Many thanks.
Please call me 'Kazza'.

I think they normally advise about 5 working days but I've had it show after about 3 days online, if you've got 12 days no big worry yet.

This is the quickest, most reliable method. According to their site:

Payments taken before 5pm Monday to Friday will be credited to your credit card account on the next working day. Payments made after 5pm or weekends or bank holidays will be credited to your account in two working days.

In all cases, you will see your payment on your account the day after it is credited

Thus, to meet your minimum payment for 19th June [a Sunday] you would make a debit card payment before 5pm on Thursday 16th June by the latest. The account would be credited on Friday [and you would see this by Saturday morning]

I did a payment on saturday (4th), came out of my bank account tues (7th) and it appeared on my virgin account today (8th) so looks like the site is right :)

Another way, which takes a similar amount of time, is to transfer the money via your current account's Internet Banking facility - if they have one

I pay all my credit card bills via LTSB's online banking and it tends to take 3-4 working days
