Alpharooms Refund options ?/

We are due to go away end of September first week on-site at Disney booked
direct and 2nd week at the Avanti I-Drive booked Via Alpharooms.
I booked 2 rooms at the avanti but stupidly paid the full amount rather than just a £20 deposit
hoping to still go but Looking at the possibility of cancelling, so I went on their on-line chat
It seemed like a automated scripted response saying it would be £30 per a person to cancel ... The room is the same price if there's 1 or 4 people in it so not sure why its £30 per a person not per a room or booking .
I queried this with him a he just responded say i would have to e-mail them with a cancellation request.
Has anyone cancelled a Room Only booking and how did it work out cost wise
