Furlough help please

Hi. I'm a domestic in a nursery. My manager only contacted me on Wednesday to ask if I could go back to work from Monday 1st and to see if the school would be able to take my children back under keyworker. I haven't heard anything from my work since they put me on furlough in March. I emailed the school and the deputy head emailed me to say they had no spaces at the school to take them back so I am unable to go back to work due to childcare. I forwarded the email to my manager but they emailed back to say they have now already taken me off furlough and said that I will not be getting paid while the kids are off. I can't use annual parental leave because I'm term time. Please can someone advise me what I can do, I can't understand why I've been taken off when they know I can't go back due to childcare. I've never had a panic attack before but I've had two since finding this out as I have no idea how I'm supposed to pay my bills now. I'm terrified. What do I do. Are they allowed to just take me off knowing that I can't work due to childcare? Thank you

It is up to the employer whether they put you on furlough and when they take you off furlough. If there is work to be done, then you cannot be on furlough (though it does not have to be all furloughed or none furloughed for a company).
It is good that you have a job to go back to and, if you are unable to return, then it is permitted for the employer to make that unpaid leave. I assume your children are not in the years that return to school anyway on 1st June?
Can your partner / the children's other parent help at all with childcare?1 -
Thank you for taking the time to read and reply. Unfortunately not my mum is classed as vulnerable so I am unable to rely on her. Any other family live up north. My daughters are in year 2 and 8. Im just worried how ill make ends meet.0

I don't know when years 2 and 8 are planned to return to school.
Have you done an SoA (statement of affairs)? This might help you, or share on the DFW forum for ideas.1 -
They can take you off, try explaining it to them again see what they say. Otherwise it might be worth having a look to see what benefits you are entitled to.1

There is the intention to try (but I don’t see how it’ll work with only allowing 15 in one group) and get the remaining school groups in for a month before the end of the summer holidays.Grumpy_chap said:I don't know when years 2 and 8 are planned to return to school.

They don’t want to refurlough you that is obvious I’m afraid and there isn’t anything you can do to change their mind regarding that. You can apply for parental leave for a maximum of 4 weeks but this will be unpaid, to help top up the loss of income you might have to apply for universal credit (though if you are currently receiving tax credits these will stop of you do apply for universal credit)1
