Old Share purchase

Back in 2000 I bought some share in an American computer chip manufacturer trading on the NASDAQ. The value of the shares almost instantly dropped by over 50% and over the last 20 years the share price has been averaging between 5-10% of the original price so I forgot about them. Over the last couple of years there has been a remarkable turnaround in the share price and they are now worth more than I paid. The shares were purchased by a share dealing company who where holding the certificates but they have since gone out of business. Does anyone know of any way to track my purchase and get hold of these shares again. I wrote this off as a bad investment a long time ago so don't expect anything. But if anyone has any ideas on where I could start looking, that would be really helpful.

Have you contacted the current registrars, who'll be named on the company's website under investor relations, to ascertain if you're still on the shareholder register?
Posting the name of the collapsed 'share dealing company' on here may clarify their fate and spark some ideas about what options may be open to you there....0 -
yes, but it would be useful for the name of the company in the first instance.

The Name of the company I purchases share in was AMD (Advance Micro Devices) and the Share dealing company I think was called Pendragon. It was 20 years ago and I have no paperwork so not sure.0

AMD shares are at all time high. Whatever you paid back in 2020, you should have more now. Its worth pursuing it.
