No, egg are being complete pratts - I got a message on line saying "we have been trying to contact you today but with no luck, please call" to which I replied, "well you didn't try very hard then - I was at home all day with both landline and mobile with me, and not only did you not ring and speak to me, but there are strangely, no voicemail/answerphone messages either, so I am not entirely sure how you have been trying to contact me"

  • Morning Hypno,

Can I ask you a quick question or several? What does mystery shopping involve? How do you get paid? Do you need to sort your own tax and NI to do it?

I'm curious about doing it but DH isn't so sure.

Thanks and I hope you have a good day.

Morning Hypno another busy day planned I see.

I have fell of the DFW band wagon lately and need to get firmly back on. Haven't been spending but definately haven't been putting the effort in to raise more cash :o

So its a DFW weekend for me to get me back on track.

Purpletea, hello! There are lots of threads about Mystery shopping on the "up your income" board on DFW - they are really really helpful people and can tell you which mystery shopping companies have which rules.

Most do expect you to do your own tax, but it is not difficult to do (if you are as organised as I am :rotfl: )

The length of the task and the nature varies from assignment to assignment - some are visiting shops, others banks, and some are for food and drink, and each pays a different amount. Some may not seem worth doing, but in my opinion every penny helps in the quest to be debt free!

There is certainly nothing awful about mystery shopping - I have been doing them for about 5 or 6 years now.

Thanks verbatim! When I think that in the previous 12 months I paid off £10k, I am really pleased to be almost at that amount already!!

I have just got in from seeing clients, and having done 2 mystery shops. One mystery shop has been cancelled, which takes the pressure off me a bit, but I still have one more to do this afternoon.

However, I am giving myself a lunch break first....coffee, laptop, food and Jeremy Kyle :rotfl:
