Really pleased for you. I remember reading about all the troubles you had with a previous house and that is what caused much of the debt and I thought what a terrible time well the tide seems to have turned and its because you are making it that way.
Shame I don't live any where near you cause I would have loved to apply for that job at the prison :rotfl:0 -
Just had a thought, once you've been in your new job a while, and once you've cleared and closed MBNA - you might be able to get a lovely new 0% or LoB cardNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

congratulations on all your news hypno, i can't believe i missed this. Well done on the new job and the windfall and for using it in the wise way that you use all the funds that pass your way. I told you you were inspirational and this is just another example. You definately deserve the banana cake once i've made it that is.0

My feet protested so much that OH has had to do the last hour for me in the bar and he sent me home!!!
I am back in there at 9am tomorrow, so very grateful for the chance to get away early.
Seaxwyn, the windfall was a gift from a family member - all his siblings got the same, and was completely out of the blue.......and very very appreciated.
I hope everyone has had a good day - I will be crashing very soon!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Well, after a reasonable night's sleep, my feet are rested, and ready to head back there this morning!!
I have 4 or 5 hours working this morning and then a client this afternoon, so can again add a reasonable amount to the £10 a day challenge.
I also have to make a start on my next college assignment this evening, otherwise I will be in bother (again!)!

I need to be careful with money for the next few weeks - I will be due to finish one job at the end of March, then start the new job when I get back from skiing -that means that for the two weeks I am away, I am "between jobs" so will not be paid for those two weeks.
then, when I get back, I won't get paid a full month's pay until the end of May - which seems an awful long way away!!
So, some careful saving needs to be done this month in order that I don't have a problem in April/May......of course I have used up the mortgage holiday so have nothing like that to fall back on - it will all be down to being careful and making the most of what we have!
Right, better get dressed and get to work!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0
