I *know* that the MSE thing to do is to put the usb thingy on ebay and take the extra money it raises. But........

So, although it goes against MSE guidelines(!!) I will prob hold on to it -
Goodness, can you tell I am trying to justify it more to myself than anything else!!

Actually it fits MSE guidelines perfectly. The whole point of MSE is to improve our lives and have the means for a nicer lifestyle-be that not been in debt or affording private education, been able to afford to stay at home with kids or doing a low paid job you love instead of a better paid one just to pay the bills or having things we want without going into debt to do so-sooooooo on that basis you are WELL within the guidelines. Enjoy-guilt free ! :)

Another MSE lurker, I seem to loose myself reading all the threads, yet I never seem to find the same thread again!. Well done on being positive, I really could do with a leaf out of your book. I am technically Debt Free, because my business bankrupt me in may. But I still owe the tax money back. I would like to do some of these challenges and aim to live within the new means successfully.
I have had to give up my job, to be a carer and am still waiting to find out what I will have to live on. Thought of setting up a thread but I dont know where to begin. Keep reading about the Pigs back, etc but have not tried it. Thought that when I was working I wouldnt have time. Or time to nab the computer to myself. Teenagers. You are an inspiration. I will try to read this thread daily. If I can find it again. Good luck with your £20K challenge. Dont think I will be even getting that much money nevermind clearing it!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • Hi Mooloo and welcome to MSE.

I'm an avid reader of hypno's diaries too(along with hundreds/thousands of others:rotfl: ) and she inspires us all. I know hypno has mentioned how much help and encouragement she has gained from others on here on her debt-busting journey, but it's not a fraction as much as we've gained from her. She is a superstar:beer:

If you keep 'losing' threads (as we all probably did when we first came on board:o ) here's an easy way to solve it. When you are in the thread you are interested in scroll up to the top of the posts on the page and find the 'thread tools' tab. Click on it and it will give you the option to subscribe to the thread. Next time you log on to the forums you meed to click on the User CP tab at the top of the page and it will take you to a list of all the threads that you've subscribed to before. From there you can always find what you need.

    I hope I explained this clearly enough:o

    Good Luck

Hello!! And a big hello to Mooloo and anyone else lurking!

Back from the ski club, where DS had the biggest crash ever. At first I thought he had broken his collar bone, but thankfully not, which is just as well with only 3 weeks to go before he goes away!!

So now he is in the hottest bath ever, trying to ease it, and I am sure he will be sore and stiff for a few days.

Of course, the DFW in me was trying to work out if I could get the CCTV and send a copy of it into You've been Framed for £250. I'm not a bad mother really, honest :o

DS goes between feeling sorry for himself and exaggerating how far he was "thrown". I think it is currently about 6 feet in the air :rotfl:
