Update on non payment of furlough funds

For those agency workers who are in the same position and are still waiting for funds. I have just had a response from HMRC, who confirm they have now released funds. I am being paid tax weeks 1-3 today and 4-6 next week. What steps did I take to push matters? Emailed the agency, who had outsourced payment, got in touch with my local MPs office, who were extremely helpful. The bottom line was that 2500 employees in my case were furloughed so the auditing took time. I still don't know, however, why its taken from the claim date of 8th May to now to see a penny. The correlation between what is entered on your personal tax account to what has been paid, was of no interest to HMRC. Keep pushing and good luck.
