Any campsite recommendations in the South West?

Does anyone have any campsite recommendations for pitching a tent in the South West? I'm particularly interested in sites near the seaside that have good facilities (showers, toilets), aren't too crowded (especially not too many screaming kids!), maybe have hedges to shelter from the wind etc. Currently looking at maybe Swanage in Dorset or Woolacombe in North Devon but would consider anywhere within two hours driving distance of Bath.
Thanks for any advice!

Both are very nice places, but also consider Morthoe. There are loads of campsites around there and it's close enough to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. Also Puttsborough (Spelling?) (my all time favourite place on earth when I was a kid), Lee Bay, Woody Bay, Lynton & Lynmouth. And I've never had bad weather in Swanage. Little Roadway Farm was the place we used at Woolacombe.
If you're looking for specific campsites I can look them up if you're interested.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -

In Lynton we stayed at Sunny Lyn Holiday Park: https://www.caravandevon.co.uk, in a 5 berth frame tent.
In Morthoe we stayed at North Morte Farm C&C Park: https://www.northmortefarm.co.uk, in a 2 berth ridge tent.
Cant find any details about Little Roadway Farm in Woolacombe, but they may be trading as a different name.spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0 -
try Dawlish Warren - http://www.peppermintpark.co.uk Good facilities, lots of space, - if you go near the top of the hill, you have amazing views over the sea. 2 minutes to one of the best beaches in Devon for families. Park has bar and evening entertainment which you can either take or leave - nice little sheltered pool with flume as well.
Literally just outside the park gates is a bakers, cafe, and small supermarket and along the road is a chippie, more pubs etc. We went for a short break last year and had a nice relaxing time.
10 minutes from the A380 so easier to get to than Woolacombe.0 -
Real old-fashioned campsite is Burnbake in Studland just along form Swanage. No electric hook up and you just pitch where you like and then pay as you go ( they te appropriate coloured ribbon to show which night you leave) Small shop and toilets and showers are ok ( think you buy a card for 20p for showers) No caravans are allowed but the best bit is the bakers van comes every morning to the shop so there is fesh bread and doughnuts. It is a real reasure of a place but not sure that you can pre-book just turn up.0
