ooh lemon meringue pie sounds scrummy!..I love coconut scent too, so anything coconutty will be fab.. pina colada cocktails??.. sorry!
One question about the wax melts.. first time I've had these, but how long can you melt the same bit for? I used half a christmas cake which was yummy, then the smell seemed to fade, but still lots of wax in, so I added another quarter of the cake, nice again.. but as the wax hasn't reduced any, when the smell fades, do you still keep melting it, or do you throw it away???!!!
Just wanted to check how long to keep it for?
I got a small yankee candle for christmas in cinnamon! love that scent.. but I love the more novelty scented ones and so well made.. gonna be looking for some birthday gifts soon.
Happy New Year to you all

I put a yankee tart in my new burner yesterday and the same is happening. Any advice anyone? I was thinking about buying scented oil, the wee bottles, can the 'smell' be topped up with this? or am i being totally stoopid? Thanks!

Hmm the smell shouldn't just evaporate, it should last as long as the wax does. Unless it's just a tiny bit of wax left at the end? If you light it again and the wax melts are you sure it doesn't then smell again?
Tonight I am burning a strawberries & cream punnetIt's not often I burn a nice looking candle, I normally just get the rejects but treated myself tonight
Paps I hope I didn't offend you about that girlshe just needs to look for a new job if she is soooo unhappy with that one
Limonchello sounds gorgeous! Would remind me of my lovely holiday in Sorrento with no kids! Closest thing to a honeymoon we are going to get
So yes I will think of some scrummy lemon things too.
Happy New Year everyone, hope this year is a good one for us all"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0 -
As I said in a previous post, I have melted mine and let it reset about 4 times now, and it still smells lovely - not quite as strong, but I can still smell itYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0

Anyone else remember Woodleigh Green Apple shampoo, was gorgeous.
Good Fairy - love the sound of anything watermelon, personally my favourite is anything cinnamon/apple, sage or ginger, think I could go on actually...!
My 11 year old doesn't believe they are candles, so I'll just have to buy to prove him wrong, shame.:DThe man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones. - Chinese Proverb

Lol I have an 11 year old of my own, it's amazing how much that boy thinks he knows!"The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too."- Samuel Butler0

snap with the 11 year old! He loves the candles/melts though and wants me to buy him some! He wouldn't use them though, he'd just like to look at them!
I'll try re lighting the wax and see what happens. The scent hadn't completely disappeared, but just wasn't sure how long it was meant to last or you were to burn it for? How much should you get down to before having to remove it? I need another burner though as I'd like to alternate scents! lol0 -
