Ok Socrates then why are you on here?0

I have a number of points.
Firstly, if we are going to stereotype Asians, they will be amongst the first to see the way the market has turned and will be striking very hard bargains.
Secondly, the Channel 4 website has a property 'fantasy league' and London is showing some of the biggest drops.
Thirdly, I also had a 'quick sale' valuation back in January at 275K. I then did a major de-clutter and redecoration. Put it on sale in May. Three months - no offers. Finally got an offer of 265 and haggled it up to 272. We complete on Jan 11th. So thats one whole year when the headlines said 10% rises and I have accepted 3 grand less than the 'quick sale' price for a very slow sale.Lightbulb moment May 2004 £208,000 unsecured

In reply to Dan as to why I am on here - it is a forum and I made a point about valuers - a forum is for discussion - not for all the mortgage brokers to pontificate to others on here or only for people to ask questions.
I think it is time to put this particular discussion to bed - but one thing I have noticed is how popular this particular thread is. More viewings than most. Just shows you people love a good argument!0 -

LOL Socrates we all love a barney! Nothing like a heated debate to get the blood pumping, if we all had the same opinions life would be dull. Also this is a touchy subject and brokers are at the sharp end of this one at the mo!
Good luck mate0
