    Yes  two more

Raise a "Chargeback" against the transaction stating non-supply of service, (using proof of cancellation) also state that you have rejected any vouchers that you are entitled to do under English law
Normally with a Chargeback the money is returned once it’s processed

Lufthansa can dispute the Chargeback, but it must supply evidence to the card company.

If Lufthansa is successful, then the Chargeback is reversed and the money taken back  from your account

If that fails then it's a Section 75 on the credit card.

    Thanks Life_goes_on,

the credit card have given a 9 week wait for any news by which time the flight date will have passed and with it any option for a voucher.

seems we are between a rock and a hard place

If we dont take up the voucher by the flight date we loose all flights and money and the claim is our only hope?

if we make the claim and Lufthansa successfully dispute, we loose flights and money.

on what basis could Lufthansa receive the money back?

If we take the voucher we don’t currently know if we can use it as the new dates for the event next year are not yet released. They may be before the flight, in which case we will take the voucher and rebook

If Lufthansa took payment on your credit card and you can prove at least one leg is cancelled then you will at some point get a refund.
If for some reason the Chargeback fails,   a Section 75 won't as long as it's over £100

A S75 holds the credit card company is jointly and severally liable for any breach of contract  (The cancelled booking)
One of them must pay in cash.
