Yay! I’ve just had a new membership for £53 so can now buy the coat and put the other money into the children’s bedroom fund, as it’s all coming out at £125, which is far far better than the £200-£250 it was! Very happy!

whilst in this lovely cottage it makes realise that I really do want my house to be nicer. I’m going to see what little things I can do to make the house more homely. For instance I need to paint most rooms, and we already have the paint and brushes. I need a new cushion in the lounge as the cat has torn a hole, I also need to get some white picture frames and replace all of the random ones. I’d like a few grey things in the kitchen to spice it up a bit. I’m going to make a list and see what I can do to pay for it etc. Not big things.

Could you paint our existing picture frames so they all tie together?

Morning, still in Yorkshire, it’s lovely to be here although OH and I had a rather terse chat about money yesterday which wasn’t the best. But hopefully the mood is better today. Just sat drinking tea, I can hear a dog barking and a cow mooing. I really would love to live in the countryside. Think I need to save up a whole lot more. Probably double what we’ve just bought our house for 🙄🙄.

Really need to destress really feel like I haven’t been able to destress the whole time we’ve been away 😢. Have two more days and go straight into an all day competition on Saturday, which my body is not ready for, (she says eating another biscuit!). Do Sunday OH is busy so I am going to spend the day getting sorted.

Hope you’re all ok? Sorry I haven’t been on the diaries, my aim is to catch up later.

Thanks for the thought @Baileys_Babe the frames are glass and plastic so not really paintable. Where’s the cheapest place for plain white frames? I’m thinking probably dunelm or the range maybe..

@Kakiste thank you! I never think to go there! How are you? I’m still catching up with your diary but I’m wading through, I’m pages and pages behind! I think I’ve just got up to July!

I'm good ta. Loving being able to have friends round to my house again. Husband still bring a piece of work intermittently but hey ho.

I'm doing lots of sewing at the moment when I'm not bike ridingso that's keeping me busy.

Ah bless you! I’ve established, being on husband number 2, that most of them are a piece of work in one way or another 🙄🙄.  Ooh I love a bike ride! I’ll hop over to your diary and see if I can catch up. I might pick your brain re sewing, I’d like to start with simple things and see how I get on!

@missymoo81 if you have an IKEA anywhere near you then you can buy really cheap picture frames there.  They start from as little as 50p!  It's where I'm planning on buying a frame for the Diamond Dotz picture I'm doing at the moment as the frame will need to be big; their large frames are less than £20 which is far cheaper than the smaller ones I bought from Hobbycr*ft for my previous pictures.

But if you do go to IKEA make a list, set a budget and I wish you luck sticking to either, that place is fantastic at parting people from their pennies 😁
