I still dont understand why its that cheap. If its an auction it would have made more, and if its a buy it now why set it so low?

But, if the o/p has the opportunity to pay cash and collect it, i cant see what the scam would be.
  • As always with eBay, check out the seller for feedback etc, though if they're happy for you to collect and pay cash on collection, they should be fine.

If I understand correctly, then the main difference between a 1520 and a 1521 is the processor. The 1520 has an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, and the 1521 has an AMD TL60.

Its cheap because Dell are charging around £500 for it, and this one is allegedly brand new for a fraction of that price.

Using a Dell AMD laptop right now. Great job. Love it.

Actually, heres what worries me about it.

    (a) the model is wrong - its a 1521 not a 1520, why wouldnt the owner know that?
    (b) You cant buy a 1521 with a TL60, only up as far as a TL58
    (c) You cant buy a 1521 spec'd with Vista Ultimate
    (d) No one (in their right mind) would build a laptop running Ultimate on 1Gb.

That may well be your opinion however why sell a laptop that retails at £500 or thereabouts for £235? They are making significantly more than that on ebay. Thats the query here.

maybe the guy selling is only offering cash and collection as payment methods hence low price.

price sounds about right to me :rotfl:

As opposed to asking £150 more and offering cash and collection as payment methods anyway?

Hopefully it will work out for the o/p.

Its a definite bargain if it does.

has anyone actually said it was a buy it now ?
if it was an auction i would not be surprised if it went for that, cutting down potential purchasers for cash and collection
