Laura Ashley policy change

Just wondering if I could get some advice. I purchased a mirror from Laura Ashley. On the 17th of march I made contact with the Facebook team as I could not get through via the phone to cancel the item and have a refund. I paid cash for the mirror. I asked the Facebook team could I still receive a refund even through there was discussion of the company having financial difficulty and was told yes. I got through to the customer service team and advised the sales assistant I wanted to cancel as I had already found a different mirror. I asked the sales assistant on the phone numerous times would I definitely receive the refund and was informed yes. The sales assistant stated because I had paid cash I would receive a call the next day to arrange the refund. I made contact with Laura Ashley again 4 days later as I had not received a call to arrange the refund. The customer service assistant informed me that I would not be receiving a refund as the company had changed their policy. I personally feel that Laura Ashley has taken my money from me. If they were not offering a refund surely I should have been told that on the phone, in which case I would have accepted that and hoped I received the mirror. Laura Ashley state they are not offering refunds but they cancelled my order and have kept my money. I was provided with an email to the company also. I emailed but have still not heart anything back. Is there any way I can get my money back or even re order the mirror. I believe if I was told on the phone I would receive the refund I should have regardless of the policy change. I made the decision to cancel before this policy was implemented. Any advice would be great.

It's not merely a "change in policy", they've gone into administration since your purchase. If you're owed anything then you'll need to join the queue of creditors in the administration.1
