Crane Garden Buildings – keeping my money

Silly question, but have you called them as you say they aren't responding to messages. If you have called them and it goes to answer phone, maybe try calling from another number.dksf said:OK so court claim underway. Crane are still not replying to any of my messages, they will not tell me if they support an ADR, will not acknowledge receipt of my Letter Before Action and will not give me any reason why they are keeping my deposit, (except cancellation - which was them not me.) No contact at all. A nice way to treat a customer.0 -
UPDATE - Having been stonewalled for months I submitted my court claim and just before the deadline Crane sent an email saying they would refund. No reason, no apology - just the information that they would refund. And the money is back in my account. I am to say the least relieved.I don't know why they had to make it so difficult. It has taken months and been so stressful yet both the contract and the law are clear: you can't keep someone's money if you don't deliver the product. Thank you for advice, and being a sounding board on here. I appreciate it.1

Perhaps they've been able to sell the product to another customer. Thereby generating the cashflow to reimburse you.
Little point in over analysing events. As will be nothing personal. In times of crisis everybody will have their own agenda with a focus on survival.1 -

Not sure why more people don't do it. Stops all the messing around.
