Still no furlough pay

Hi
I have worked full time for an agency for 8 months and was put on furlough 9 weeks ago, I am still to receive any money, my agency have told me that they have applied for the grant and are awaiting payment from the HMRC, I am constantly on the phone to them but no one seems to know what is happened, I was told that it was applied for on the 1st May but then told it wasn’t applied for until the 15th May, iv now had a letter from my employer to say that there are having trouble getting paid the grant and it’s unlikely I’ll get any money, up to now I should have received £2560 furlough pay but I haven’t received a penny. I tried to claim universal credit but it said I wasn’t entitled to anything as my employer and reported earning in the last 4 weeks, when I questioned my employer they said it is because they have produced my payslip, iv been told a lot of mixed information from the agency staff I don’t know what to believe, I’m now 9 weeks in and not a penny received, how do they expect me to live? Any help and advice would be brilliant.

I'd advise you to check your tax account to see exactly what is says, if it says you've been paid then you can question why and possibly report them to HMRC.

They should have paid you as normal and then received the furlough grant after that.0

Yes that’s what I thought but when I looked up online they don’t have to if they can’t, I’m starting to prepare myself that the money isn’t going to come, got 2 small children and can’t believe the position the agency have left me in.0

I'm in exactly the same position. I've got 5 payslips but still waiting for my money. I too am being told they are waiting for the grant from HMRC and have now escalated it to a complaint. My personal tax account shows I've been paid 4 times. Initially, I suspected fraud but now I believe what I'm being told as I've had further correspondence. Apparently there are hundreds of us in this position.0

Agencies won't pay you out of their own funds... No chance. They will wait for the grant and its taking a ridiculous amount of time. Mine was applied for on 8th May0 -
I just don't understand this apparent delay in receiving the money from HMRC, I do a weekly payroll for our small family business (10 employees), this is the timescales for my claims:WFranklin71 said:akr0 said:They should have paid you as normal and then received the furlough grant after that.

23.04.20 Ist claim (4 weeks) grant received 29.04.20
07.05.20 2nd claim (1 week) grant received 13.05.20
18.05.20 3rd claim (1 week) grant received 26.05.20 (bank holiday weekend)
26.05.20 4th claim (2 weeks) not received yet.

The problem is agencies are not salaried workers. As with the above case, employers are getting their funds within 6 days. I was told yesterday that my particular outsourcing Co have received 2500 furlough application. We are being told there are no queries and everything has been accepted. I've just called my local MPs office, who are inundated with people in our situation needing help. I've been asked to send his secretary an email with full details on, as they are getting on the case with HMRC0

Sounds like BS from agency/UC.
ALL orgs will make claim using same HMRC portal and will be treated the same and paid in the same way and timeframe unless errors with claim.
What is Agency name?0 -
