Help with Barclaycard please

I do hope someone shall be able to help me. I have a Barclaycard and apllied for a different credit card so I could balance transfer and save me a fre pounds. The new card I have is a whopping 29.9% Apr but that doesnt worry me as I shall never use it apart from tranfers. So I put the transfer into place for £1150a few weeks ago. Whe my statement arrived Barclays had only credited £10.50p to my account. So I phoned up and got passed round to different people for ages. Eventually someone bothered to listen to me and told me that Barclays dont make mistakes go and check with my other credit card. So I didn but they confirmed the larger amount had gone. Back onot Barclays who fter I wanted to speak to a supervisor said that they would trace the matter back through their systems but be prepared for a wait. Today they have admitted they cocked up and missed out the decimal point. They wont be able to credit the missing money back into my account till my June statement (end of the month) by which time my 29.9% cardw ill have billed me a months intrest. Barclays have not been willing to listen nor help me throughout this. They have agreede to pay the intrest on the missing money at their rates only back inot my account. This had cost me a fortune in phonecalls, time and inconvience. Do you think it would be improper to ask them to pay the other credit card bill. After all it was theier fault I couldnt clear the balance in time (I think this will be about £2 but correct me if im wrong) also my phonecalls and a goodwill gesture? Does anyone have any tips they could share with me regarding writing a letter like this?
Thanks in advacnce

    Hi keater,

Sounds like you've had an awful job running round to sort this out. I would definitely ask them to reimburse any expenses such as phonecalls, interest etc.

Rather than calling (as you'll get a callcentre probably), it's best to write to their head office. If you look on their website the address will be on there somewhere. It will then get passed onto the right department which has the power to sort things out for you.

    Good luck icon7.gif

I had a problem with a bt with Barclaycard and had to do a trace, which took about 6 weeks. However they suspended all interest payments and gave me a goodwill payment of £20.00. However I was the one who caused the problem by quoting my debit card instead of the credit card I wanted the money to be transferred to. The Team Leader in their Transfers Dept was brilliant and kept me informed of the situation.
