Vehicle registration with DVLA

We bought a car 3 months ago and the seller sent the form off to DVLA but we heard nothing. Therefore we sent the new owner slip and V62 form off to DVLA ourselves but have also heard nothing. We can’t get any response from DVLA as they advise they are short staffed so only dealing with queries from critical workers. We’ve checked the car details online and the new keeper change has not been actioned. We can’t tax the car until this has been done. We tried taxing online using the ref no on the new keeper slip with no luck and can’t do at a Post Office as the new keeper slip has been sent to DVLA. Any ideas please?

Wait. Welsh lockdown is still tighter than elsewhere in the country.
If the vendor had done the transfer online, this would have been actioned months ago. I bought a vehicle on the 1st March (not quite three months ago), the vendor did the transfer online, and I had the V5C within a week.0 -
We are still waiting for our V5 on a car we bought in March.
Decided not to do anything about it for the moment as there will probably not be anyone at DVLA at the moment.
