I have been furloughed, asked to come into work tonight (nights)

    That's true - while you are on furlough, you cannot do any work for the company.  It is absurd, as if there is no paid work, then trying to earn some paid work for the business is a good thing.  Also, if the company paid someone else to deliver the leaflets, who does not work for the company, that would be allowed.

    It's good that you were keen to go back, and hopefully they will take that into consideration if redundancies have to come.

    Unfortunately, there have been several threads on here where people say something to the effect of "I am on furlough and it's great getting 80% pay to sit at home enjoying the sunshine, is it fair I now have to go back to work as I have this excuse, that excuse, the other excuse."  I am glad that is not you and I did not mean to speak out-of-turn. :)

    Yeah I am keen as to go back to work, just today was the only day that meant I couldn't -_- and made me feel quite stressed knowing that if I hadn't of booked my appointment for today I would have secured my job. Now back to the uncertainty, but hopefully they take that into consideration
