A debt from 11yrs ago keeps being added back on to my credit file.

Hi Guys,

I am looking for some advise with regards to a debt with JD Williams from back in 2009.
This debt from 2009 with JDW was added to my credit file as missed payments due to me not paying them.
They have never done anything about the debt other than send me letters demanding payment and saying I’ve missed payments.
No CCJ ever received or added. Nothing.
Over the years I have built my credit back up and now have a good credit report.
However Recently JDW decided to add a new credit agreement to my credit file and then add a missed payment.
I disputed this with Equifax and they wrote to JDW who responded and agreed to remove it and Equifax did remove it.
JDW then waited a month and then did the same thing again. So I disputed it again and the same thing happened. It got taken off my report.
I have today seen on my report that JDW is doing it again for the 3rd time.
The reason I gave and disputed It was on the grounds that this was a status barred debt well over 6 yrs in fact 11yrs.
I Personally have had no contact with JDW since 2009.  Nothing.
How do I go about getting this company to stop adding a new credit agreement I don’t have with them to my credit file and then adding that I’ve missed a payment?  Can they legally do this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards G

Send a formal written complaint to JDW outlining what you've told us. Request their written response.

If they haven't provided a satisfactory solution within the eight weeks, escalate the complaint to the FOS.

For anything related to your credit file information, you can also escalate your complaint to the ICO (information comisionaires office).

Should I add that I would like a copy of the credit agreement they keep adding to my credit file and all missed payments.

Thing is, a lender doesn't require a true signed copy of your credit agreement to report account conduct to your credit file. As long as the data is accurate, they're permitted to share it with credit reference agencies.
