Unusual SE situation re: grant eligibility

Has he tried using the eligibility checker? He can do that, you don't need to wait for an invitation.nicisaskinflint said:Also, no-one has addressed why my husband has not received an invitation to apply. Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Is there a reason we are missing as to why they think he is not eligible to apply?0 -
Thanks everybody so much for your help and advice. (We understood that we should do nothing until the HMRC sent an invitation - a sort of "don't call us we'll call you" situation.) It was always the intent to trade part of the eligibility criteria that was most bothersome to us because we will be travelling most of the time (we hope) but hope to get some business between trips. Both mine and my husband's clients know our situation and understand the need for us to travel now while my husband still has eyesight, so have been very understanding, but at the end of the day, if we are not available when they need us, they may well turn to other providers and we understand that.

I would definitely try the online checker... I never got a letter/email/text nothing from HMRC did the checker was eligible applied accepted and paid ... all before I even got a email from HMRC saying I’d been approved and to await funds they have such a backlog i am assuming they just couldn’t contact everybody , also there was a lot of people that received a Letter and weren’t even eligible Always worth the check1
