Egg Credit Card

I have been transferring money into one of my bank accounts to cover things like my car tax, mot and insurance. The thing is as I have been getting paid short, as I owe the tax office, the money I should have been putting away I have ended up paying more off my loan. Now when all my car payments need to be made I am going to end up being short. I originally planned on getting the egg money credit card and loading it with monthly payments to cover these things but I was refused. I was told by one of the girls that my application got passed through to that if I reduced my loan and other credit card with them they would reassess my application. I have managed to reduce my loan by about £3,000.00 and my credit card by about £1,000.00 in about a year. Would it be a good idea to try re-applying, speak to the woman I originally dealt with (if I can find her details) or find some other way of saving for the payments I need for my car?

Congratulations on reducing your Egg loan by £3,000 and your Egg card by £1,000.

If 12 months has elapsed since you first applied for Egg Money, you've nothing to lose from re-applying now, if you believe it would help you to budget more effectively.

I would have a look at the Credit Rating articles on the main site, in particular, Martin's *Check and Improve your Credit Score* article, before you submit your application, to make certain there are no other factors working against you ;)
