Lucky you!I requested my refund on the 6th April. On the 23rd April I got the voucher email, so I requested my refund again via their web chat. They wouldn’t commit to any timescale so I did the chargeback thing a few days later. Got the cash back on the credit card within two days.Today I was notified by my bank that RyanAir have challenged the chargeback! They have another 45 days to drag this out apparently.Begs the question, if thy have time to challenge it, they should maybe have spend the time paying my money back in April!0

You can see what Ryanair boss Michael O'leary said regarding refunds on Peston this week https://www.itv.com/news/2020-06-03/uk-s-14-day-quarantine-plans-useless-says-ryanair-chief-exec-michael-o-leary/ Of course, what you won't know unless you watched it (I did) is the "& the customers will just have to wait & lump it" tone of voice he used!Mcfaggen said:Lucky you!I requested my refund on the 6th April. Might add some weight to keeping your chargeback as he's casually admitting there aren't enough staff for processing, nor seemingly the inclination, to even attempt to meet his legal obligation to refund.
You've been reasonable, hopefully Ryanair will refund you now & the chargeback will be clawed back from you. (Only used it once a couple of years ago & that was what happened, fair enough.)Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
