Any Agency Care Workers? Interserve?

Options
Hi, I'm really in desperate need of getting some work due to the agency I'm currently with (not care) not giving me any hours and they haven't for months now. Our situation is now desperate and I'm looking at doing care work again. I have in the past but in nursing homes, which after the last two I've had enough of. So I was thinking about joining a home care agency and I found Interserve, in the Blackpool area saying that you have 1 client per shift which as I don't drive would be ideal. I was just wondering if anyone worked for them or any other care agencies who could give me a little information on how it is working for them? I'm really nervous taking this step as I haven't before but I really need to. Please feel free to message me if you don't want to write on the forum about your experiences. Thank you so much.

Probably best asking on the employment board but I have known people to work as one 2 one carers. Generally it's while doing nursing / doctor training to get experience.

Could be anything from assisting them to eat, bath or simply be in the home and on hand while they sleep. So exactly the same as care home work, only in someone's home instead.

Which parts are making you nervous?

The way a company works in one area could be completely different to another. I worked for a charity ( providing support to vulnerable people). There were 5 different offices and all had a completely different vibe due to the personalities of the managers and workers based there. Any new job means going into the unknown.
