House renovation - who can do the whole thing?

Hiya,
Sorry if this has been posted before/is a daft question.
I'm wanting to get a bunch of house renovations done - roof, kitchen, bathroom, doors, etc.
My thought is that going through the process of getting separate quotes from a roofer, plasterer, plumber etc. for each job seems less than ideal. So my question is - is there anyone who will do the lot/manage the whole process/bring in their own contractors? Is it a master builder I need? Architect? Any advice on who/what/where to search would be appreciated.

A good builder will have either all the required knowledge or contacts with the trades needed for the job. Definitely better to have a single contractor to take on the work and let them have the issues of getting the right trades in the right places at the right times.

Hi I can and do, the whole contract from start to finish. The biggest problem is I currently have a one year waiting list. You need a building contractor but if you are in a hurry be very careful. Any body who can start a week on Friday is questionable.5

a good building contractor will manage the project for you. You'll pay heavily for the privilege though. If you can find a good plumber, spark and builder, they should cover most jobs you need doing. It's then just a case of managing the project to get them all to work together.
I suppose it depends whether you want the convenience of having someone to manage the whole project. This is a money saving site though...........2 -
You need to do a lot more reading and planning including this forum and your local council panning portal/
Decide how you want to proceed and obtain a number of written quotes.
General builders will specify the cheapest off the shelf fixtures and fittings for everything so if you want different then you either need them to quote to your specification or supply fittings yourself. Many builders can get trade discounts so it might pay you to allow them to supply and fit
When you are clear as to how you wish to proceed, revisit the forum forrconstructive views from experienced forumites2 -
All very useful advice, thank you.

I don't think the same man or company would do all things for you. If you have some experience and workforce with you, then you can renovate your kitchen on your own. I am talking about labour here. I am referring to supporting family members as the workforce. You can get their help to paint walls with rollers. Otherwise, just hire these painters mainly if you live in North or South London. Withal, don't compromise on the quality of paints. Better to try a combination of light and dark colours and try light colours for more area and dark paints for frames and small portions.
However, if you think it is tough for you to renovate the kitchen, then you can get services from this kind of kitchen makeover companies. Don't mix renovation with remodelling because renovation is about the restoration of your existing kitchen and remodelling refers to complete rebuilding of the kitchen.
On the other hand, if we talk about roofing, foundation and plumbing matters, then you can hire a contractor. I am not sure they will include plumbing in it. But you can ask them. You can also make your budget and a plan to hire each service separately to reduce cost.-4
