Offer letter from PPC

Hello
Apologies if this has been covered somewhere. I've followed instructions and are currently have a court date of October, if the PPC progress)
I've received the attached offer letter from the PPC (assuming they don't fancy paying the £25 and this is a last ditch effort on their part?)
As anyone had experience of these and are we guessing the liklihood of them progressing with court action is low?
Thanks for your help thus far team!

See several of these recently, exact same wording, some have been preparatory to discontinuing.  You could try a counter offer of, say £ZERO and see how you get on.  If you think your case is strong, don't feel obliged to accept it; in the spirit of the CPRs just write back declining.  Since the original claim would have been £100, can't see how £125 is a better offer!

It will not be them not wanting to save £25, although of course it will help, they are wanting money NOW, it's a COVID thing.

Just decline their offer and confirm you will be bringing to the attention of the court the unlawful add-on of £60 which has tainted the claim making it unreliable.
As said, offer them a drop hands offer being they discontinue and bear their own costs and you will not claim costs

They will know what you mean

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully, when life gets back to normal, it will become impossible for those scammers who are left to continue their vile trade, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
