What Flooring Ads Value?

Hi guys.
I am in the process of getting my bungalow renovation planned out. I have heard that the crème de la crème of flooring is solid wood flooring but I have also heard it comes with disadvantages so I have looked into engineered wood. According to https://storiesflooring.co.uk/pages/engineered-wood-flooring-advice this guide it is not really suitable for installing in bathrooms which leaves me with 2 options.
I phoned Lifestyle Flooring UK and they put me in the direction of "LVT" - this stands for luxury vinyl tiles... They said if I wanted to ad value then Karndean and Amtico are the recognised brand in this type of flooring. I have had a good look and Amtico Spacia looks great.
My question is, do I go for solid wood or engineered and just install a cheaper version of LVT in the bathrooms or do I install Amtico throughout? Which will add most value and be easier to sell with?

No flooring particularly adds value.  It might increase saleability.

There's no visual difference between solid wood and engineered.  Engineered moves less so is the more practical choice.

There are lots of LVT brands on the market.  Even Amtico has its 'Spacia' range to try and compete with the rest of the market and is indecipherable from it's more expensive stuff when it's down.   I couldn't care less what brand it was if it looks good and is of a quality.   It is really good for family homes as it's hard wearing.

Unless you DIY, I think most projects add less value than they actually cost you.
The same applies to to the most expensive materials even if you do everything yourself.

Totally agree with this, a very good point, and it doesn't just apply to flooring.

I might be wrong but I have a feeling that you've watched too many property shows on tv...  If you renovate for yourself get what YOU want, if you doing up to sell ,something cheap that looks neat. No floor add any value , at best you have hassle and break even - that is at very very best. Most of this added value nonsense is just that - nonsense , be it floor, bathroom or extension. It all looks fantastic on the telly when you see everything done in 1 hr, but  ( depending on the scope of the job ) once you have to deal with tradesmen, materials, skip collection, planning or building control and pay for it all  - all that proclaimed added value somehow disappears.
Get what you want, like and are happy to pay for,not what you think add  some value.
