Virgin Media refund

Hi

Just been on the phone to Virgin, after not being able to get through to them, though all there avenues, in the last three months. I cancelled our tv/fibre, due to the complete lack of understanding, to not being able to cancel before price hike (end of contract).
So would like advice on wether it’s worth trying to get a refund and how?

Cheers

Depends upon when your contract end date is .
You owe them up to the end date first .

My contract run out 16th April. I phoned them a month before but was unable to get through and tried numerous times after and there other avenues. Today ( 26th May) I succeeded. I paid £30 before, but went up to £48.

Yes you should write a letter and post it ,
detailing the problems under Covid  and see what they say .

Can you evidence these attempts at contact? Do you have copies of e-mails or screenshots of social media posts, for example?
If not, I think you'll have to accept your cancellation date was 26th May, not earlier.
  • How did you eventually get through? They keep hanging up on me after an hour on hold before I can speak to anyone. Been trying to get through at various times of the day since April. Always the same.
