The biggest surprise is not that people have problems with Curry's PC World, itnis that anyone still uses them!

I think that but then it is the last retailer in that market surely that exists nationwide?

It has a brand recognition with certain generations too I suppose.

I had a problem with Currys in 1995. I haven't been near them since.
  • A friend ordered an oven for click and collect at 1.30 today. As I'm fitting it and they're short on time I offered to collect it, a 50 mile round trip as no nearer stores had it in stock. Money taken but no conformation or email of when to collect. Impossible to phone them, live chat at 8pm said "there's a problem with the order, why not cancel and reorder".  They couldn't explain what the problem is. They couldn't check the stores stock level. I didn't want to cancel in case this is the only one left. If there's a problem with an order why don't they contact the buyer immediately?
My friend will now have to do the round trip as its on their card the shop won't deal with me. Hopefully the problem isn't the website incorrectly stating they have this in stock.
Impossible to phone and a pointless web chat.
Awful customer service. I cannot remember buying anything from them and based on this I doubt I ever will.

  • At 27/11/20 I purchased an Ipad via currys/pcworld link on ebay for £499 . The site showed they had stock and i received the normal email order confirmation. Next I get an email saying they could nt meet the advertised delivery time ; i phoned and after waiting more than 30 minutes was told item out of stock but expected soon. Next i get an email saying they were cancelling my order and issuing a refund. I wrote to their head office (twice) , spoke again on the telephone after another enormous wait telling them I did not want the refund , I wanted the ipad. I have had no response whatsoever . Could it be that they are now advertising the particular Ipad for sale at £699 ?? I am still waiting t hear anything from them.

My mum ordered something from currys in boxing day sale, it was supposed to arrive last week but it hasn't come.
What's weird is we have an order number and it was paid for, but no tracking number?
Webchat is not working, I also can't find any phone numbers or email addresses?
