They roughly reflect the day to day differences I can see doing a dummy booking now, with you having paid about £40 for the original flight.This is no help to the OP who claims to have an anomaly in the prices offered for rebooking as opposed to a new booking. More info on dates and what exactly the OP booked might help us figure out their issue.0
