I have to agree. With the message that children will be able to go back to school fully in September I think that there would be a reasonable probability that the restrictions will be entirely lifted by then, especially as without doing so whole sectors of the economy will collapse.Pollycat said:Are you 100% sure that social distancing and large gathering rules will still apply 3 months from now?0 -
My thoughts exactly. With the cost of wedding contracts running into 10k+, venues cannot afford to just refund people based on a maybe the event will go ahead.[DELETED USER] said:Realistically they won't be able to fulfill the contract because even if the venue is available social distancing and large gathering rules will make it impossible to get the agreed number in.
So they will have to refund eventually. The danger is that you give them more money and then they go bankrupt. Hopefully you have insurance.
That means they have to make a last minute decision based on the latest government guidance. The last thing they can afford is to cancel and refund the costs, if the government announce a week before that all guests will be allowed etc.0 -
Nobody can be 100% but I see the the government have given further support for the arts sector and the Culture Secretary has said that he cannot see theatres etc returning to normal "for some time". That said we were told there would probably not be any foreign travel this summer...Pollycat said:[DELETED USER] said:Realistically they won't be able to fulfill the contract because even if the venue is available social distancing and large gathering rules will make it impossible to get the agreed number in.
