Transfer or EUROs to GBP - Ireland to UK

Dear Forum,
This request doesn't really fit into any categories neatly so I figured here is as good as any other place!
I currently work in Ireland and I am paid in EURO - however I need to start thinking about sending some of my savings back to the UK as this isn't a long term arrangement.
Does anyone have advice on the best way to send money back? I have UK GBP accounts and an Irish EURO account where my salary currently goes. I need to send €10,000 - €15,000 to the UK for now.... and obviously looking for the cheapest way to do this... My UK account account is Santander and it does accept EURO incoming but I fear their rate is pretty low on adjusting and they can't give me an accurate prediction of the rate in advance
Best Wishes
Johnny

I would, and do, simply use Starling Bank. Their rates & charges are at least as good as those of currency transfer firms but they have the huge advantage that they are FSCS covered, whilst the currency transfer firms aren't. In addition, exchanges at Starling are instant. Currency transfer firms can take between several hours and days.
Having said all this, you might want to have a look at cashback offers, at least for some of your money. Check Azimo, WorldRemit, FairFx, XE, CurrencyFair etc on both, Quidco and Topcashback. You could probably make £100 or so in the process if you aren't too worried about FSCS and the best rates/cost. I have done Azimo and WorldRemit, they both paid up quite quickly. I keep meaning to do the others.

Revolut doesn't have FSCS protection, either.
