It doesn't give employers the right to do whatever they please though? I

No it does not but sometimes just fighting for what is right is pointless. The OP is doing exactly the same amount of hours at the same pay as they normally get. Granted inconvenient and not great, it might not be in the contract but in the grand scheme of things hardly unfair. To me the OP sound  more upset that they aren’t getting paid overtime for it rather than having to work it.

She's not doing the same amount of hours over the week. They want her to come in every day for 3 hours.

Oh I agree it may not be a valid argument but given the circumstances, the fact she has been on full pay for 7 weeks working 0 hours, and there will be hundreds of other people willing to do the job instead at the moment, is it worth moaning?
It doesn't give employers the right to do whatever they please though? I know you're bitter about furloughed people but really, give it a rest.
    Given she hasnt been furloughed...🤷‍♂️

Oh and lovely you only had a go at me when Sharpe more or less said the same thing.
You're right, she hasn't been furloughed, apologies. There have been quite a few threads regarding furlough where some of your comments do sound really bitter.  We've not all chosen this and most would much rather things were back to normal.
Bitter is the wrong word, but when I see people moaning they have to go back to work then yes, it does get my back up.

As for the OP, my advice hasnt changed from what I typed earlier. Given she has been sat at home and seemingly earned 35 hours extra pay for doing nothing, and is now being asked to do an extra 10 or 12.5 hours this week (not sure if she is counting the holiday today), she is still "up" either 22.5 or 25 hours.  Its hard to have any sympathy.

She is still only working the hours she has been paid for anyway inconvenient yes, probably against the contract but is it something really worth fighting over. For a couple of hours pay which really they have already been paid is it really worth annoying the management over.
