I have two jobs one full time one part time both key worker jobs. The first employer has refused to allow me to do the second job due to the fact it may impact on the workers if I catch coronavirus and transmit it to my 1st job is this legal bear in mind I have been doing both jobs for over eight years?

Does your main job's contract of employment allow you to do more than one job, or is it at the discretion of the employer? If it is at the discretion of the employer, they may be entitled to withdraw that consent.
Having said that, if your main employer has known about, and been content with, you doing the two jobs for eight years, that consent seems to have become an implied term of your contract, even if not explicit. I suspect your main employer cannot force you to leave the second job, and you might have a case for compensation if you did give up the second job.
With eight years of service you have built up some statutory redundancy entitlement which might make them think twice about sacking you if you still worked the two jobs.1 -
What jobs are they both? I don't think it unreasonable if you work in like a care home for one job then work in part time in hospital for another job for example.1

You’ve been doing both jobs for 8 years and they are only saying no at this point?? I’m assuming up until this point they viewed it as “low risk”. What are the 2 different roles doing?
As above you will need to look into your contract of employment to see what is says in regards to additional employment.1 -
Is your main employer also going to stop you going on public transport, or going to the shops? Ridiculous.Skip20 said:I have two jobs one full time one part time both key worker jobs. My main job is working for a funeral service the second job is working for a supermarket delivering shopping . My employer thinks that by me doing the second role may impact the staff at my 1st job and also may impact staff at the supermarket chain staff due to covid 19. My contract does not state anything about doing a second job like I say i've been doing both jobs for several years!Skip20 said:I have two jobs one full time one part time both key worker jobs. You would most likely have a case for unfair dismissal, but your main job may be too important to risk.1
