I booked an apartment in palma nova for my daughters in july and there were many problems with their apartment and management. they complained on numerous occassions to no avail so. i contact the accommodation provider which i booked on the internet and they said they would look into my complaint and contact the manager at the apartments but this resulted in nothing. i have wrote a letter of complaint to the accommodation provider but they said there is nothing they can do now my daughers are home as i should have informed them during their stay. This is incorrect as i emailed them about the problems whilst they were staying at the apartments and i even asked if they could arrange for them to be moved to different apartments. i am wondering if anyone knows what rights you have when you only book accommodation. i have since wrote back to the accommodation provider but they have not replied. Can anyone give me advice.

Also, what were the problems?

the apartments had patio doors that would not close securely thus causing a security risk. A broken fridge and floor tiles which my daughter cut her toe on. They complained everyday during their stay but nothing was done to resolve these problems. Although they had to pay 50 euros for damage to an hallway that they had not done. The apartments were the Voranova in palma nova and if you read their reviews they have treated many guests unfairly. Some girls who were robbed on their first night got kicked out because they refused to pay for damaged that the burglars had caused. i have sinced found out these apartments are closing down soon and reopening under a new name so i doubt whether they were too concerned about their reputation. i only hope they reopen under different management.
Many young holidaymakers who stayed at these apartments were ripped off by the management at these apartments. i have complained to the accommodation provider but they do not seemed interested. Apparently you are not entitled to the same rights when you book with an accommodation only provider. Any advice anyone.0 -
