Hello guys I'm new to this forum so be easy if mistakes are made :)
my other half reversed into a small bit of land while I went to the store. I literally took 1-2 mins tops then we left. I have now received a Notice to Keeper letter from a company called parking control. It was dark at the time and unfortunately, we didn't see the signs behind us. I guess my question is since when can you be charged £100 (£60 if paid in 14 days) for stopping 1-2 mins? Is there any way I can appeal this? we wouldn't have waited there if we knew about this! I read through the newbies post however there is nothing about parking charges for stopping and waiting. I'm the registered keeper of the car and I would appreciate any sort of help. Thank you.

You'll need to be much more precise on the name of the parking firm - and on any information you provide here.

    Date of waiting/stopping event?
Date of Issue/Sending shown on the NtK?
Does it contain the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4) para 9(f) warning?  Please read it and compare, absolutely pedantically.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

All your questions are answered in the sticky thread for NEWBIES that you say you have read.

Please answer all the questions already asked as well. Most importantly tell us what happened when you complained to the landowner and whether you have complained to your MP yet about this unregulated scam.

    Hey thanks for the reply!
The company name is parking control and this is their website - parkingcontrol247.co.uk
Company address on the letter is Parking Control, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE
    Penalty Charge Details
    Date & Time of Issue: 11th may 2020, 13:40
    Contravention Date & Time: 04/05/2020, 20:28
    Vehicle Registration: xxxx xxx
    Make:BMW
    Colour: Grey
Reason for Issue: Stopping/waiting where stopping/waiting is prohibited
    Location xxxxxxx xxxx
I have compared it to the Protection of freedom act and it seems compliant. However, I did notice that the contravention time is 20:28 and does not have an exact time of entry or exit. I am not sure if thats important but I thought I would highlight it.
    Thanks again for your help.

I have not complained to the landowner/MP yet. Are these my next steps?

Parking Control is a trading name of Hounslow Enforcement Ltd, an IPC scammer. Did they really call the NTK a penalty charge?

A landowner complaint should have been the first thing to do, as explained in the NEWBIES.
