    Can anyone help?
I've just accepted my 1st assignment for Gap but can't access the paperwork what am I doing wrong?
I wanted to complete the job this morning as the assignment needs to be done today.
    Thanks

Go to 'my assignments'. Does the job show there? If it does, copy the job no (highlight and press control + c'

Go to 'webexpress', press control + v to paste in the number. It will then give you the option 'show assignment paper'.

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer, not Firefox or another browser, because the idiots at GAP haven't caught up with the 21st century yet
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

    Hope this helps people!

    Just found this out on GAP;

You know how you're only allowed to select 10 areas on the area search? I've just noticed that the address in the web address bar can be changed to include as many towns/areas as you want, including bad spelling!

SO - to include a one word area, just insert it in the bold area below followed by a comma, and if it's a two or more word area then stick %20 inbetween the words instead of a space. For example: (I've taken the www off so it doesn't create a link on this post)

    xec.gapbuster.com/WebSelect3/SearchAssignment.aspx?q=search&flag=true&f1=Any%20Town,Shoppershire,Mysteryville&f2=&f3=&c=&a=&start=&end=&premiumOnly=false&pageSize=25&pageIndex=0

I've now amended this to include 20+ areas and made it a favourite on my PC - now I just have to click it (when I'm logged in on another screen) and I'm in!

    Hope this helps all
You're a genius! why haven't I thought of that? ..I am glad you don't live in my area though you'd swipe all the jobs!!:D :D

I have my first 2 assignment so wish me luck

Just have a question on one of them and if anyone has experienced this sitaution before.

I assigned an assignment from Gap. When i checked the assignment fee it was £16, so thought il do it.
The next day i printed my paperwork and it only said i will get £8. I went back checked on the site and in the instructions page they had changed it from £16 to £8. Im sure it said £16 the day before. But on the main page where it has list of assignments you currently have it says £16. When i checked the same store with other towns the day before it said £16 and today(Friday) when i checked it had changed to £8.

Not sure how much they will pay me now as only accepted because it was £16. I only realised it friday night and i have to my assignment on saturday.

any advice appreciated. How much do you reckon i will get paid? and has this happened to anyone else?

not bad for my first assignment LOL

Got my first assignment for Gap today. There are 5 parts to it, and I have to remember the names and descriptions of all the 5 people who serve me (unless some are the same of course), not to mention all the other details. How on earth do you remember it all?

Is it a shop where you would normally walk round with a shopping list? You can make discreet notes on it. Or write a text message on your phone and save it in your "drafts" folder.

I've made up my own shorthand for people descriptions. It always goes:

name, gender, hair colour and style, height, any other features

so for example a line saying:

    Chris f br l pny 5 8 gl

    would mean

Chris, female, brown long hair in pony tail, 5'8", glasses
Here I go again on my own....

Thanks Becles. Yes, will use my mobile phone. I just think that makes it look a bit obvious, but then I'm often fiddling with my phone anyway, so I'm sure it will be fine! Thanks.

I use my mobile phone as well. I don't think it looks obvious at all as you see people texting everywhere, all the time!

Food ones I also use the "check the toilets" bit to sit down (on the loo seat!!) and read the brief to make sure I've done everything and make a few notes.

Sometimes if I really need to jot something down I'll pretend to receive a phone call and say "Hang on, I'm in such-and-such-a-store I'll just go outside" , then I go outside, go round the corner out of sight to make my notes and then return afterwards.

  • hi all

ive been a MS for a few weeks now and have found that if the question is asked to find out what is either side of the of the shop you are visiting , I found it helpful to have a digital camera and then upload a picture of the store this may seem a little james bond like but will save the hassel , or if you know what one shop next door to it was look in the yellow pages and call the bakery and ask them to give you directions to the store and may be possibly they can give you an idea of what shops are next door to them.:j

Yes, it was from Bare, but for some unknown reason it said ADVICE CONFIRMS. Mind you, it's all good fun.

Does anyone know if any companies do GYM VISITS or MEMBERSHIPS?
  • Hi if it's listed on your "my assignments" page as 16, then you should get paid this. They used to also list it on the paperwork, but I have found they have stopped doing this.

But definitely double check when they pay you for it, because they don't always pay correctly.
