DIY options for electric/fake wood burning stove?

Evening all. I thought I’d update this as I now have a cosy nook with my fake wood burner. 😄
In the end, I didn’t like any of the cheaper plastic stoves and couldn’t justify £600 for the cast iron one that I did. (Eek!)
So I eventually found a broken stove for sale locally, repaired and painted it. I bought and painted an extractor fan pipe and painted this to fake a flue (it fits perfectly). Total cost: approx £60 including paint.
Hubby had already made the surround and lining out of an old MDF bookcase. Nothing needs to be non-combustible as it is purely for aesthetics.
I’ve found some battery tea lights in our Halloween box for the time being, but will buy some mains powered flame LEDs and arrange through some logs/coal.
It may not be the real deal, but as we don’t need the heat, I’m really pleased with my little cosy nook. (We have an open fire in the front room, so this is a good compromise on a budget).

Edit: I still need to finish painting!1
